William Raj Gali
Country Director
William Raj currently leads the EveryChild India team with a passion to advocate for children’s rights and contribute to the development work in India. William started his journey as a student in 1986 working with the marginalized children on the pavements and slums of Bombay and since then he has always felt inspired and humbled by such children. Last fifteen years William has had a wide range of experience on children’s rights and working with grassroots organizations in East Africa. Before joining EveryChild, William has coordinated Education and Community Engagement programmes and been the Executive Director of Mkombozi, a leading child rights organisation in Tanzania. He has contributed to the development and growth of other child rights organizations through facilitating Organizational Development and being member of two Boards and many networks, including Caucus for Children's Rights, Tanzania Child Rights Forum and Parenting in Africa. William has a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Development Education from South Bank University, London, UK together with a Certificate in Counseling and PG diploma in Facilitating Organizational Development. William brings to the team multiple skills and is always keen to learn and dedicate to the development and rights of Children without Parental Care.
